My Bio

I've had endo for about 25 years. In 1993 I had a TAH BSO. A year later the endo was back. I've had 3 lots of surgery since then, and am now into my third year of Zoladex, with Arimidex and Buserelin added in. It's definitely helped. I have yearly DEXA scans, and although I had a hip fracture when I was 39, my bones are slightly improved with specific treatment (IV Ibandronate every 12 wees)

In January 2007 I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis, and am now medically retired. I am rather disabled and spend a lot of time in bed, as the constant pain is exhausting. Thankfully my rheumatologist has recommended me for special anti_-TNF treatment, wich is a very expensive (£8000per year) drug, but offers a 70% chance of getting some of my joints 'repaired'

My Occupation

Used to be a pretty damn good A&E nurse till Rheumatoid Arthritis put paid to that.

My Hobbies

Love patchwork and quilting. Also like to get out. I have a motability car, a walking stick, and a damn fine wheelchair! So look out......here I come!
